Your Vision, Our Experience

Landscape Design in Las Cruces, NM

No generic blueprints. David comes to your property, listens to what you want, walks the site with you, and puts together a plan that works for your terrain, your budget, and the Las Cruces climate.

How David Designs

There's no design department here. David is the designer, the installer, and the person you'll work with from start to finish. He walks your property, looks at the sun exposure, the soil, the drainage, and what's already growing. Then he talks with you about what you want and what actually makes sense for this climate.

The result is a plan built around your property's real conditions — not a template pulled from a catalog. Every plant is chosen because it'll thrive here. Every hardscape element is placed because it solves a problem or improves how you use your outdoor space.

Because the same person who designs the project also installs it, nothing gets lost in translation. What David plans is what David builds.

Drought-tolerant landscape design in Las Cruces

What Goes Into a Design

Site Evaluation

Sun and shade mapping, soil assessment, drainage patterns, existing plants worth keeping, and how you actually use your yard.

Plant Selection

Every plant is chosen for this specific climate — heat tolerance, water needs, alkaline soil compatibility, and the look you want.

Hardscape Layout

Patios, walkways, borders, and retaining walls placed to solve drainage issues and create usable outdoor spaces.

Irrigation Planning

Drip zones, sprinkler placement, and smart controller setup designed around city watering rules and your plant groupings.

Budget Alignment

David works within your budget — phasing projects when needed so you get the most impact first without overextending.

HOA Compliance

If you're in Sonoma Ranch, Picacho Hills, or another HOA community, the design is built to meet their guidelines from the start.

Design FAQ

Do you do formal blueprints or 3D renderings?
David's approach is hands-on and collaborative. He works with you on-site, walks through options in person, and plans based on what your property actually needs. For most residential projects, that direct conversation replaces the need for formal blueprints.
Can I phase my project over time?
Absolutely. David can design the full vision and then break the installation into phases that fit your budget — front yard first, backyard next season, irrigation upgrade later. Each phase is designed to stand on its own while fitting the bigger plan.
What if I don't know what I want?
That's fine — most people don't. David has 19 years of ideas. Tell him what bothers you about your current yard, how you use the space, and what you like when you see it. He'll bring the options and the expertise.
