Do I need weed barrier under rock?
In most cases, yes. A commercial-grade landscape fabric underneath keeps weeds from pushing through while still letting water drain. David uses heavy-duty fabric — not the thin stuff from the hardware store — and overlaps seams so nothing gets through.
How deep should the rock be?
Typically 2–3 inches for decorative areas and 4+ inches for pathways and high-traffic zones. David will figure out the right depth based on the material size and what the area is used for.
Can you remove my existing grass and replace it with rock?
Absolutely — that's one of the most common jobs we do. We strip the old lawn, regrade, install fabric and edging, and lay down your chosen rock. Most lawn-to-rock conversions finish in a few days.
