Zero Water. Year-Round Green.

Artificial Turf Installation in Las Cruces, NM

A green lawn in the desert without the water bill, the mowing, or the brown patches every August. We install artificial turf that looks real, drains properly, and holds up to the Las Cruces sun for years.

Why Artificial Turf in Las Cruces

Real grass and the Chihuahuan Desert don't get along. Between the watering restrictions, the alkaline soil, the 100-degree summers, and the water bills, keeping a green lawn alive here is expensive and frustrating. Artificial turf solves all of it.

We install high-quality turf with proper base preparation, drainage, and infill. The result looks like a real lawn from the street, feels good underfoot, and stays green twelve months a year without a drop of irrigation.

  • No watering — ever. 100% compliant with water ordinances.
  • No mowing, no fertilizing, no seasonal reseeding.
  • UV-stabilized to resist fading in the Las Cruces sun.
  • Drains properly through our base prep — no puddles after monsoons.

How We Install

1

Site Prep

Remove existing lawn or dirt, grade the surface for drainage, and compact a crushed rock base that won't shift or settle.

2

Weed Barrier & Base

We lay commercial-grade weed barrier and a decomposed granite base that provides drainage and a stable surface for the turf.

3

Turf Layout & Seaming

Cut to fit your space precisely. Seams are joined tight so the surface looks like one continuous lawn, not patched-together strips.

4

Infill & Finishing

We spread infill to weigh the turf down, keep the blades standing upright, and provide cushion. Edges are secured with landscape staples or bender board.

Artificial Turf FAQ

How long does artificial turf last?
Quality artificial turf typically lasts 15–20 years with minimal maintenance. UV-stabilized products hold their color even in the Las Cruces sun. The base prep is what determines longevity — a properly compacted, well-drained base means the turf stays flat and drains right for the life of the product.
Does it get hot in the summer?
Artificial turf does absorb heat in direct sun — it can get warm underfoot on a 100°F afternoon, similar to a pool deck. A quick rinse with a hose cools it down instantly. Many homeowners pair turf with shade structures or trees to keep play areas comfortable in peak summer.
How does it drain during monsoons?
The turf itself is permeable — water passes right through. The key is the base underneath. We build a crushed rock base with proper grading so water drains away from your foundation, not toward it. Even heavy monsoon bursts drain quickly.
Can I combine turf with xeriscape?
This is one of our most popular combinations. A patch of turf for the kids or dogs, surrounded by xeriscape with native plants and rock. You get the green lawn look where you want it and low-water landscaping everywhere else.
